First tracks of the season, framed for the wall. This vintage ski poster is a new, original illustration in the 1950s travel-poster style: one skier in a red jacket carves through fresh powder under two sharp white peaks and a clear cobalt sky, while a small wooden chalet glows in the pines below.
Why it belongs
It belongs in the ski house, the cabin, the mudroom where the boots dry out, or the den of anyone who counts the days to opening day. The style is the bold, flat look of 1950s travel posters, with clean shapes and a light print grain, so it sits easily in a rustic room or a modern one. Most ski posters carry a resort name, which ties them to one mountain and one trip. This one has no lettering at all, so it belongs to every mountain the skier has ever loved. What you get
TWO WAYS TO ORDER
Framed and ready to hang, or as an unframed print for a frame you already love. Choose the unframed print in the options and it arrives on its own, made to order on the same paper as our framed pieces, without a frame, plexiglass or hanging hardware. Everything on this page about the frame and hanging describes the framed version.
- Framed and ready to hang, with hanging hardware already fitted
- Solid pine wood frame in Black, White, Natural Wood or Dark Wood
- Shatterproof plexiglass on the front
- Fade-resistant archival-quality inks on 200gsm premium matte paper
- Sizes from 5x7" to 28x40", plus A3, A2 and A1
- Free shipping available
- Certificate of Authenticity: a physical 4x6" insert plus a digital certificate
What you will notice first
- The skier in motion: the body leans into the turn and a bright arc of snow sprays off the skis, so the scene feels fast even from across the room
- One lit window: the small chalet in the pines has a single warm window glowing, the end of the ski day in one detail
- Flat poster color: cobalt sky, signal red jacket, deep pine green and sunlit cream snow, printed matte so the color stays soft with no glare
- No lettering: no resort name, no headline and no logo, just the mountain, the skier and the chalet
- A frame that matches the room: four solid pine finishes, with Natural Wood our pick for the chalet and the pines
How it feels in the room
You come in from the cold, drop your gloves on the bench and look up at a clear blue mountain morning. The red jacket is the first thing you see, then the spray of powder, then the warm window in the chalet below. On a grey weekday in the city it brings back the feeling of the first run, and in the cabin it looks like it has always hung there.

FAQs
Is this an original vintage poster?
No. It is a new print of an original illustration drawn in the style of mid-century ski travel posters, made to order on premium matte paper and framed. The look is vintage; the piece is new.
Does it show a real resort or mountain?
No resort, mountain, brand or lettering appears anywhere on it. The peaks and the chalet are drawn for this piece, so it suits any mountain the skier in your life loves.
Which frame color suits it best?
Natural Wood is our pick: it picks up the wooden chalet and the pines and keeps the cobalt sky bright. Black gives a crisp graphic edge, White a light Scandinavian look and Dark Wood a classic lodge feel.
What size should I choose?
Above a sofa or a bench, 24x36" or 28x40" fills the wall. In a bedroom, office or den, 16x20" or 18x24" works well. For a mudroom or entryway, 11x14". As a gift when you do not know their wall, 16x20" fits almost anywhere.
Does it arrive ready to hang?
The framed version arrives mounted in a solid pine frame behind shatterproof plexiglass, with hanging hardware already fitted. The unframed print arrives on its own, ready for a frame you already own.
Will the colors fade?
The print uses fade-resistant archival-quality inks on 200gsm premium matte paper. Hung out of direct sunlight, the cobalt, red and green stay bright for years.
Is it a good gift for a skier?
It is a simple one to get right: it has no resort name, so it fits wherever they ski, and it arrives framed with a Certificate of Authenticity, ready to wrap and hang.
How long does delivery take?
Each piece is made to order in one to four days, then shipped from a production facility near you, with tracking on every order. Free shipping available.
What if something is wrong with my piece?
Every Sparkycare design comes with our 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee and our Lifetime Quality Guarantee: if your piece ever fails on us, message us with a photo and we will replace it free, for as long as you own it.

For the moments worth framing.
A few details worth knowing. Every piece is made to order just for you, so slight size variations can happen from one print to the next, part of what makes each one its own. Colors may look a little different on your screen than they do in print, since every monitor shows color its own way. Every design is shaped by us, the Sparkycare design team, using our own creativity and taste, then carefully curated before it becomes a finished piece. To keep yours looking its best, hang it out of direct sunlight and wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth when needed.
