What you will notice first
- The stars are a ring of thirteen. Count them. Thirteen cream five point stars in a circle, for the thirteen colonies, the way the flag of the founding was arranged rather than the fifty star flag dressed up as history.
- Thirteen stripes, seven red and six cream. The stripe count is correct too, top and bottom both red, which is the detail most commemorative prints quietly get wrong.
- The ground is stained, not clean. The parchment is mottled and unevenly aged, and the staining shows through the flag itself rather than sitting behind it.
